Copper Mountain Resort
Copper Mountain is 75 miles west of Denver or 20 miles
east of Vail off Interstate 70.
Copper Mountain is often referred to as "nature's
perfect ski mountain." With the mountain divided naturally into
three areas - for beginners, intermediates and experts - it is easy
to access, and remain on, your favorite terrain. Beginners ski at
Union Creek, intermediates enjoy The Center and Copper Commons area,
and experts gather at the new Super Bee Lift or A Lift. Parking is
plentiful at each base area, and skiers can grab a meal and libations
at each base also.
22 lifts move skiers over 2433 acres and 2601 feet of
vertical lift. Colorado's first six-passenger chairlift, the
"Super Bee" Lift, offers 10-minute access to 2,300 vertical
feet for 3,000 people per hour. There are also 4 high speed quad
lifts that service intermediate and advanced terrain in the upper
center of Copper Mountain.
Copper Mountain Resort has shopping, dining and many
condomiums. The mountain has two halfpipes, a snowboard terrain park,
a tubing hill and an ambassador program. The improvements came after
Copper Mountain was acquired by a new owner - Intrawest, a leading
developer and operator of mountain resorts across North America.
Activities at Copper Mountain
Tubing Hill
Snowplay enthusiasts of all ages will enjoy the thrill
of our newest snow activity. Serviced by The Stinger surface lift,
riders are whisked to the top of the tubing hill where they will
cruise down one of several snow-filled lanes with varying degrees of pitch.
Copper Mountain Athletic
Club
Copper offers one of the premier full-service athletic
clubs in the Rocky Mountains. The center boasts an indoor pool,
cardiovascular equipment and full weight room, yoga and fitness
classes, indoor racquetball and wallyball courts and two indoor
tennis courts. The club also features spas, steam rooms, saunas and
massage services.
Sleigh Rides
After a full day of skiing, enjoy one of Copper's
horse drawn sleigh rides. Enjoy winter warmers at The Pub and then
step into a sleigh for a 45-minute guided adventure through the woods.
Ice Skating
A classic winter activity that is truly fun for the
whole family. Ice skating is free and skate rentals are available.
