Benefits of the Multi Listing Service~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ So did you wonder what happened to me last month? My husband Don and I took a vacation to Alaska! We spent a couple weeks on and off the ferry up the inland passage. Then a week in Anchorage and Denali. What a beautiful place, but it's great to be back home. We met a couple from Perth Australia that are in the real estate business. It was fun to spend time comparing markets, regulations and customs. The one thing that amazed me was that they do not have a multi list system (MLS). When a buyer is shopping they need to go to every real estate office to find out what is for sale. Think of the time and frustration on the part of the buyer! That's a big advantage we have in Summit County and most of the United States, the buyer just has to give the wants, needs and dreams to one agent (in your case me!) to find out about all the properties listed. (For a for sale by owner you still need to drive around the neighborhood and read the newspaper). Because of the cooperation between brokers in the MLS, I also get paid by the seller when I sell the property. Think outside the box. This condo is being sold as a half share- but it's the summer half of the year.
